Prof. Dr. Nejat Güney

He studied and graduated from Galatasaray High School and Pertevniyal High School. After graduating from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, he specialized in orthopedics and traumatology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He became an associate professor in 1986 and then became a professor in 1994. In 1987, he worked for 3 months at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in London with Prof. Dr., an expert in total knee replacement surgery. Dr. He worked under George Bentley. On his return to the country, he pioneered this issue by applying the prosthesis we still use today to both knees in the same session, and in later years by applying the hip prosthesis to both hips in the same session. In the following years, he worked with various specialist physicians in prosthetic surgery at the Southern California Institute in the United States, Germany, Switzerland and Karolinska Hospital in Sweden.
